#LightItInRed is a project that was created by and backed by our whole industry
As a unique mobile venue that not only hosts weddings and our own events, we provide services to many outdoor events large and small. With the entire industry directly affected by the Coronavirus pandemic and being inspired by Germany’s #nightoflight2020, the collaboration of companies, trade bodies, and freelancers want to highlight the dire situation in the UK events industry & fellow industry professionals are facing.
In reality, without major immediate support from the government, the events industry will not survive the next 100 days
Since early March all kinds of major events have been prohibited, from corporate events to conferences, concerts, festivals, weddings, trade shows, and theatrical performances, but none have been able to go ahead.
Not only has this left an entire industry dormant for the past 6 months, but it is unlikely that it will get the go-ahead to restart again until spring 2021 & this is realistically the very earliest.
This sector has over twenty-five thousand businesses, employs over half a million workers, and has a huge supply chain of companies ranging from event production, audio, lighting, video, logistics, planning, transportation, and some of the world’s leading technology manufacturers.
